Hi, I'm Jonathan Blake.
I built Midwest Roof Calculators so Ohio and Michigan homeowners and property managers can walk into a roofing or exterior project knowing the numbers, the scope and the right questions to ask.
My background
- Five years in home exterior account management. I've helped hundreds of families with home exterior projects.
- Eight years owning a tree service. I know what it's like to run a service business and what homeowners go through when they hire one.
- Lawn maintenance and hardscaping. I've helped families with the rest of the outside of their homes, too.
- A family man. I want people treated the way I'd want my own family treated.
Why this site exists
Most people see a roof price for the first time when a salesperson hands it to them. I wanted a place where you can measure your roof, count materials, see what a good scope includes and get an honest early budget before anyone comes to the door. Every tool shows its math. When we don't have reliable numbers, we say so instead of guessing.
How the content is checked
Guides list their sources, so you can check anything we say. A guide shows "Reviewed by" only after I've opened every source myself. Budget ranges are labeled with where they come from. See the methodology.
